Catch Me If You Can
Photographing a child who is almost 2 years old, can go many different ways. But no matter how it goes, it’s always an adventure, sometimes makes me shake my head, always pushes me to think of new ways to distract them, requires strange noises to catch their attention and often running after them. But that’s why I love to take a young family like this to a quiet, wide open park with green space and safe places to play.
We caught a beautiful spring day in Coronation Park! I love this park because of the variety in settings that it holds. It has 2 bridges, a white metal and a wood bridge. It has tall grasses, an area with large stones to sit and stand on, lots of interesting trees, and a pathway that leads through the incredible green space. And if you venture just off the path, you can follow a stream that connects one bridge to the other. I consider this a hidden gem, and a quiet location to retreat to with a gorgeous family.
I adore the images that I was able to capture from this session! I am incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to photograph the Lafontaine family and I look forward to capturing more of their memories in the future.
