About Us

Our studio was founded by Jeremy Martel, a professional photographer and educator with over 11 years of experience.

Over the last couple years Amy has apprenticed under Jeremy and grown her style, creative eye and technique to become JM Photography’s Head Portrait Photographer. We are very lucky to have an artist like Amy working with the families that visit our studio.

We specialize in…

photo sessions for newborns, families and kids. We look forward to meeting you and capturing special moments of your families unique history.

We are professional studio focused on families and their children.

Our studio provides service to Calgary and the surrounding area for; Family photography, Newborn photography, Maternity sessions and Portrait photography. We also have a wedding photography studio that provides Wedding and Engagement photography to Calgary’s brides.

Our Studio…

Our goal is to make your photo shoot as comfortable and fun as possible. We realize little ones need patience so we always work at their pace.

The Studio

We strive to create a comfortable, safe and welcoming environment.

Due to limited space in the studio we prefer to host all our family and toddler sessions outdoors. Newborn sessions are always hosted at our studio where we can ensure your little one is safe and warm (we heat the studio to 28 degrees, helps the little ones sleep soundly). During the winter months we have lots of indoor locations we can visit and still keep warm, like the University of Calgary, SAIT and the multitude of locations in the downtown core. If you would like something more natural on a colder day we photograph in short burst’s taking lots of breaks in warm buildings, cars and blankets.
