Our Story
With Amy off to open a branch of JM Photography in Red Deer, we have added several others to our team. A link to everyone’s bios are below and following is a little bit about how our Portrait Studio got started. It’s amazing how small meetings in life, end up shaping one’s future. Amy met Jeremy just by chance, through a part-time business she was running. Shortly thereafter, by coincidence, Jeremy needed an additional booth representative at the Edmonton Bridal Fantasy Wedding Fair. It just so happened that Amy was going to be in Edmonton at the same time. With her budding interest in photography and entrepreneurial spirit, it made it the perfect fit. Our working relationship began at that Wedding Fair and soon, Amy was apprenticing as a second shooter. Amy’s talent and skill were apparent immediately, as well as her ability to make each client feel comfortable. She quickly grew into the role of head second shooter and was photographing alongside Jeremy at all his weddings. After countless long car ride conversations, a dream was realized – the one thing Amy loved, was the one thing that Jeremy needed help with. While he was busy photographing weddings, he needed someone to take over the Portrait studio so that his clients could receive the best in class experience that JM Photography is known for.
So with that, our portrait studio was created and we now have a team of Portrait Photographers.

About Our Studio
Simple, clean, comfortable. Our studio space may be tiny, but it’s perfect for viewings and is home to our digital darkroom. For indoor sessions we have another space that can be added to any of our session packages for an additional fee. This is a great space for more traditional portraits and we have a small selection of backdrops to choose from!
We prefer to photograph our sessions outside, in the largest studio possible – parks, buildings, by the water, mountains, towering evergreens, yellow pastures, rolling hills….wherever your interest in scenery lies, is where we’d love to meet you!
