Mommy Connections Jan 2019 > Calgary Family Photographers
We are always excited when Mommy Connections has a new mom and baby class because this means we get the opportunity to photograph the new mom’s with their little ones. The Maxwell Family Photos at their home out in Springbank
Early Friday morning the family all gathered at the Maxwell family home in Springbank, just outside the Calgary city limits. It has been almost almost 5 years since the whole family has been together and it would mark the first time many of the grandkids met each other. With all of that their parents Don and Theresa were celebrating 50 years of marriage. A perfect time to capture the fun and playful camaraderie that each of their family members have with each other, something that was quickly adopted by the grandchildren.
The Okishita’s Family Photos at Heritage Point in South Calgary
Hiding from the Heat Wave
We met the Okishita family at their home in Heritage Point and immediately made the decision to do the first half of their family session at their home. This was due to the staggering 30+ heat that we were experiencing that day. Our shot was to photograph their son who had just turned one and after we were finished at their home we made our way to a near by green space to round out the photos.
The Bauer’s Family Photos out in Okotoks South of Calgary
We have now had the pleasure of providing the Bauer family with their annual family photos out in Okotoks for five years. Every year we take them out to a tree just south of Calgary where we photographed them for their Engagement session. A tradition started five years ago now has a photo filled with a son and a daughter, with their mom and dad.

Reagan’s First Birthday Cake Smash Session at our Calgary Studio
Jen and Reagan visited our studio to capture her destroying a cake for her first birthday. Deanne with Cakes N’ More made a beautiful organic sponge cake for the occasion. Lined with pink rosettes and surrounded by balloons Reagan was ready to go and she didn’t waste any time. Almost immediately dipping in her finger to sample her devious cake. She made short work of the cake quickly ensure her and her mom were covered in icing. Even the balloons weren’t safe as a few of the received a light coating of icing. Ten minutes later the cake looked like a deflated balloon as Reagan had mashed every part of the cake and then let mom know it was time to head home.

The Breen’s Family Photos at Edworthy Park in Calgary
We meet with Justine, Time and little Logan at the Angel’s Cappuccino and Ice Cream shop on the north side of the Bow River Pathway. Crossing the bridge takes you over the the Edworthy Park Picnic Area where they have all these beautiful rows of trees. Justine brought along a water proof picnic blanket and we brought a rustic brown blanket for the family to sit on. Nestled under the sweeping branched of the Edworthy evergreens we went to work photographing Logan and his parents.
