A warm chinook pulled into Calgary the day we met with Meri and Paul, the two kids and their golden retriever Evie. For their session we visited the BP Birthplace Forest that was planted in the community Silver Springs in 2002. Since then it has become favourite spot of people around the community and their family to visit with their dog for family walks. I had a wonderful time photographing them and I hope you enjoy the photos we captured.

The family was hoping to have their photos take at the Historic River Avenue Bridge that crosses over the Bow River in Cochrane, Alberta. It was originally constructed in 1926 by the Dominion Bridge Company which was once an industrial juggernaut, a giant in the industry with factories all across Canada.
Tumbling in the Long Grass. As September drew to a close the weather in Calgary became very erratic and on the day of their original shoot we were treated to almost 0 degrees and a mess of rain. Opting to try our luck a couple days later we were treated to a beautifully warm fall early afternoon.
We met the Gough family on a beautiful sunny day at the Glennfield Area A of Fish Creek Park. The week before, while bike riding around the park, the family came across a lovely red shale path, which would become the backdrop for our session.
