Fun Filled Family Pictures at Confederation Park
Kirsty, Joe, and their two little ones Annika and Erik, met us down at Confederation Park in the heart of Calgary for a Family Portrait Session.
The weather was lovely, so we headed down to the creek that runs through the park, and found a space with twisting trees, colourful flowers, and tall grasses. While we were setting up, we let the kids run around and play to get acquainted with the meadow. As we were putting the final touches on our set up, Annika ran up and gave Erik a huge hug, and began to pose for photos. They were naturals!
We then photographed the kids playing in the grasses and around the trees. They were incredibly cooperative, flashing huge smiles at us for every shot. Annika was especially happy to be in front of the camera, and it was fascinating to see the five-year-old so enamored with the shoot!
We moved through different groupings and posed in the same area before changing locations. Erik, who is 2 ½, loved the bridge we chose. He lit up at the sight of it and enthusiastically ran up and down the wooden planks. Atop the bridge we photographed the family, hand in hand, strolling along the path.
Once we had finished, Erik chose a bench for the final shot of the family together.
We had a great time with Kirsty, Joe, Annika, and Erik, and we hope they love their images as much as we loved photographing them!
